In Sumpter, Oregon, the annual Memorial Day Flea Market is scheduled for May 23-26.
The tiny mountain town comes to life with vendors and activities throughout town. Vendors of all types cover the grassy fields of “The Grounds,” where a dedicated covered food court, public restrooms and an expansive parking lot make it easy to spend hours looking for bargains, treasures and fun stuff. Head downtown for even more vendors along Mill Street and spend some time in the resident antique stores, art gallery, Sumpter Municipal Museum and more. Hop over to the Sumpter Valley Railroad depot and the Sumpter Valley Dredge State Heritage Area and enjoy a walk on the path along the creek. You will want to spend the whole day!
