Looking for a great fishing hole? Baker County has plenty of great fishing.  Lakes, rivers, streams—they're all here, and they're full of a variety of fish.

Brownlee Reservoir, the 57-mile long reservoir separating Idaho and Oregon is one of the premier warm water fisheries in the Western united States and is well known for bass, catfish, crappie, trout, sunfish and perch.

Much of the 190 miles of shoreline is not accessible due to steep terrain or lack of roads. Richmond and Huntington are the primary access points from the Oregon side. Camping, boat ramps and other amenities are available in both communities and at several location along the Snake River Road between.

In addition to Brownlee you'll find lots of other lakes to fish in Baker County. A few of our favorites include Anthony Lakes and Phillips Reservoir in the Elkhorns. Fish Lake and Balm Creek Reservoir in the Wallowas, Unity Lake in the Blue Mountains, and Thief Valley Reservoir near the town of North Powder.

If lake fishing isn't your thing, there is plenty of great fishing in Baker County, rivers and streams. The Powder River boasts excellent trout fishing, and the Burnt River and Eagle Creek are great fly fishing destinations.
