Whether you're an avid adventurer looking to explore the the Elkhorns or Wallowa Mountains for an adventurous overnight backpacking trip, or just looking for a relaxing walk in the woods,  Baker County, has lots of great hiking trails for you to explore with mountain vistas to behold, and plenty of flora and fauna to see along the way.

If you've got a good pair of hiking shoes, and a desire for beautiful country, or if you just want an easy stroll in the great outdoors, we've got the trails for you.

Here are a few of our favorite hikes in Baker County

Indian Rock Trail
Short but challenging with spectacular views

North Phillips Lake Trail
Easy to moderate shoreline trail

South Phillips Lake Trail
Another short and easy hike with great views of the lake and Elkhorn mountains

Anthony Lakes - Lily Pad Lake Trails
ANother Easy family friendly trail along the lake with great mountain views

Black Lake & Hoffer Lake Trails
Short hikes moderate to more challenging with some steep sections ending with amazing lakeside views.

Powder River Interpretive Trail.
Easy to moderate hike along the banks of the Powder River The north side is paved and ADA accessible.

Rock Creek Lake Trail
Steep and strenuous this rugged trail takes you into the heart of the Elkhorns

Twin Lakes Trail
Another more challenging trail with some steep sections rewarded with spectacular views and a chance to spot resident Mountain Goats.

Main Eagle to Copper Creek Falls
Enjoy this moderate 2 mile hike to Copper Creek Falls, or continue into the Eagle Cap Wilderness for a more strenuous hiking adventure

Lake Fork Trail to Fish Lake
Moderate to challenging 11 mile hike starting at the Lake Fork Campground and ending at Fish Lake

And there are lots of options for those looking looking for multi day backpacking trips as well including the Elkhorn Crest Trail and several choices in the Wallowas with the Main Eagle, East Eagle, and Cornucopia trailheads as great starting points for your Eagle Cap Wilderness adventure.
