Baker County hosts a number of rodeos each year attracting some of the top bull and bronc riding cowboys in the nation. If you're a rodeo fan these are some of the best in in Oregon.
The Hells Canyon Junior Rodeo kicks off the Baker County Rodeo Season on Fathers Day weekend in Halfway, is a fun filled weekend for aspiring cowboys and cowgirls of all ages. The Hell's Canyon Junior Rodeo is sponsored by Hell's Canyon Riders, a non-profit organization promoting the development of youth rodeo contestants in the spirit of fair competition and good sportsmanship and is open to contestants up to age 18.
Baker County's signature rodeo event is the action packed the 4th of July Haines Stampede Rodeo. This is the place to celebrate the 4th of July in Baker County, kicking up dust and enjoying one of the biggest and best small town rodeos in Oregon. The entire town of Haines turns out the red white and blue for the Haines Days celebrations including a cowboy breakfast, music in the park, BBQ, and Fourth of July parade. After the rodeo, end your Independence Day celebration with fabulous fireworks. Always the 3rd and 4th of July

Baker County's premier rodeo event is the annual Baker Bronc and Bull Riding the third weekend in July at the Baker County Fairgrounds in Baker City. Part of the Challenge of Champions Tour, this event features some of the best cowboys and meanest, toughest stock in the sport in a two day event that'll keep you coming back year after year. Friday night is all bronc riding and Saturday is all bull riding.
This event also coincides with the annual Miners Jubilee in Baker City at Geiser Pullman Park
The Baker County rodeo season continues through Labor Day weekend with the Baker County Fair and Panhandle Rodeo in Halfway. This ICA sanctioned rodeo starts Saturday evening and continues through the weekend with great rodeo action Sunday and Monday. The ranch style bronc riding and mule chariot roping are highlight events here,
The Baker County rodeo season wraps up with the Last Hoorah Ranch Rodeo and Carl Wendt Memorial Bronc Riding.
Typically held in mid September, this end of the rodeo season event is a tribute to working cowboys and features traditional working cowboy events including roping, penning and sorting, before wrapping up with some world class bronc riding.
