Baker County is home to some of eastern Oregon's best community events and festivals.
COVID 19 had a tremendous impact on community events and festivals and while a number of our local festivals had to cancel in 2020, organizers are optimistic about 2021 and moving forward with new COVID guidelines and protocols in place. Visitors should check with individual event websites for latest updates and including new COVID protocols
We're looking forward to the return of Baker County's award-winning events like the We Like'em Short Film Festival, Durkee Steak Feed, Powder River Music Review concert series, Great Salt Lick Art Auction, East West Shrine All Star Football Game, Baker City Cycling Classic, and the Hells Canyon Motorcycle Rally.
It seems like there's always something exciting on the calendar in Baker County, and summer holidays are packed with fun events including Sumpter Flea Markets, Huntington Catfish Derby, the Haines Stampede Rodeo, Baker County Fair and Panhandle Rodeo, Labor Day Wagon Encampment at the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, and Baker City's iconic Miners' Jubilee.
