Covid  19 Update

in response to the  rapidly evolving Covid 19 pandemic and recent travel, social distancing, and business restriction , Travel Baker County is working closely with our local and state health officials and Travel industry partners.  Our top priority is the health and safety of our guests, our tourism industry partners, and their employees .

The CDC is consistent in its precaution to practice every day preventative measures to help stop the spread of the COVID 19 Virus:

  • Stay home while you are sick.
    • Never visit a hospital or long-term-care facility if you have a fever or cough illness.
    • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue and then throw the tissue in the trash.
    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
    • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
    • Clean and disinfect surfaces that are often touched.
    • Take care of your health overall. Staying current on your vaccinations, including flu vaccine, eating well and exercising all help your body stay resilient.
    • Consult CDC’s travel website for any travel advisories and steps to protect yourself if you plan to travel outside of the US.
    • With the situation evolving rapidly, we encourage the traveling public to follow any guidance offered by the CDC, OHA and local public health authorities.

With the most recent restriction on travel, social distancing, and events gatherings, all upcoming events have been cancelled , Anthony Lakes Ski Resort has closed for the remainder of the season,  and many of our local restaurants and other businesses are adjusting hours and operations to comply with the new  social gathering restrictions and restaurant limitations to take out and delivery only with additional precautions for guest and employee safety .     We will be working with our local partners to provide updates as more information is available.
