Visit The Elkhorn Wildlife Area, between La Grande and Baker City, to see large elk and deer herds at two viewing sites: Anthony Creek, eight miles west of I-84 on North Powder River Lane and the overlook on the south side of Old Auburn Road off Highway 7 about six miles south of Baker City. The Elkhorn Wildlife Area and feeding stations are managed by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
