“Travel by Paint Brush”-Rena Vandewater and “Elliptical Strands-a Collection of Burnt Earth”-Chris Halley
Join Crossroads Carnegie Art Center on First Friday, October 6th, for the opening of October’s show titled “Travel by Paint Brush.” This show features the fine art Idaho artist, Rena Vandewater, and Richland’s own Chris Halley. The First Friday Reception starts at 5 p.m., Artist Talk at 5:30. This exhibit is on display until October 28, 2023.
- Rena Vandewater, a nationally renowned oil painter with a wealth of experience, brings us on a trip abroad, through Europe and Great Britain, via her fantastical memory of land and cityscapes. Her paintings are vibrant and fresh with a color palate that brings a sense of joy, and in essence an ecstatic naturalism.
- Chris Halley, an innovative metal artist, uses mysterious techniques to create his powerful sculptures that exude a sense of dignity and strength while their beauty fills the eyes with fascination. It is with wonder that Chris makes metal look like glass or pottery puzzling the mind about his process.
Crossroads is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the First Friday show opening continuing until 8 p.m. each month.
