Calling local businesses and attractions in Baker County!
We invite you to participate in a low-cost program designed to help you broaden your customer base. This program will equip you with tools to better welcome customers with disabilities, in addition to those who use strollers and walkers (such as families with young children and seniors).
This program is best suited for local brick-and-mortar businesses and attractions like museums, art centers, gift shops, visitor centers, and other locations that are frequented by tourists. Not one of these entities? There may be an opportunity for you to participate in the workshop component, space permitting. Please fill out this waitlist: LINK
You can find all the program details at: eova.com/accessible-spaces
The workshop is essentially a crash-course on serving visitors with disability and accessibility challenges. The four hours will include:
-
- A presentation on general best practices for interacting with people with disabilities
- A Q&A panel of people with disabilities
- An interactive activity to better understand how people with certain disabilities experience a space
- An overview of easy, quick-fixes
- An action-planning exercise to help you address issues within your business or attraction
- A panel of local organizations to identify local resources that can help you accomplish your action plan.
