Wildwing Performs at Churchill School
August 12, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM PDT
Wildwing is a Celtic/World/Folk group from Northern Utah. It was founded by a trio of sisters: Anna Watkins-Annawault (Vocals, Violin, Mandolin, Keys, Guitar), Amy Watkins-Nelson (Violin, Mandolin, Recorder, Irish Whistle), and Jessa Young (Vocals, Piano, Wooden Flutes).
The trio members are often superbly backed up by their mother Paula Watkins, playing keyboard and accordion, and by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Tanner Jones, on bass and guitar. Also featured are Emily Ashcroft Densley, on percussion, and Danny Hankins, a legendary drummer from Cache Valley, Utah.
“Wildwing shows are a balance of lyrical vocals and lively instrumental selections including Celtic tunes from Ireland, Scotland and Wales.” Amy and Anna are known to “shred” on their dualing violins, while Anna dances and audiences go wild!
