Industry Partners and Resources

Travel Baker County works closely with our statewide and regional tourism partners to coordinate local tourism development efforts and marketing to maximize the reach and impact of our limited resources.

In addition to being important partners for Travel Baker County,these partners also provide a variety of industry specific tools, training, and other resources for our private sector tourism industry partners.

 

Travel Oregon

Travel Oregon is our lead tourism partner for the state of Oregon.  Travel Baker County works closely with Travel Oregon both directly and through the Eastern Oregon Visitors Association to coordinate our marketing and development efforts and ensure that Baker County is well represented in statewide tourism marketing efforts including media and industry fam trips, global sales efforts, and statewide marketing.

Travel Oregon is also a valuable partner to our local industry partners, particularly during the COVID 19 pandemic.  While traditional conferences are on hold during the pandemic, Travel Oregon continues to host a variety of virtual trainings and webinars and maintains a robust industry specific website with the latest guidance on COVID 19 response and valuable industry data, trends and other information.  Industry partners can sign up for the Travel Oregon Industry e-newsletter HERE or access the industry website at at industry.traveloregon.com

 

Eastern Oregon Visitors Association

EOVA is the Regional Destination Marketing Organization (RDMO) for the 11 county Eastern Oregon region including Baker County, and is funded in part Travel Oregon, and DMO and local stakeholder memberships.

EOVA is the primary conduit for information between Travel Oregon and the Eastern Oregon region. EOVA hosts a number of annual stakeholder meetings, trainings and workshops and works closely with Travel Oregon to market the 11 county region.

The Oregon Restaurant Lodging Association

ORLA is the statewide industry organization for the restaurant and lodging industry.  They are a key partner with Travel Oregon and a lead advocate on legislative issues impacting the restaurant and lodging industries, including COVID 19 restrictions and recovery resources.

The ORLA website is a great resource for the latest COVID 19 updates and industry specific tools and best practices for navigating the current pandemic.

Oregon Festivals and Events Association

OFEA is the premiere statewide source for event and festival organizers who want to stay up to date on best practices, latest trends and how the COVID 19 pandemic will shape how we plan and host community events in the future.

OFEA is a membership organization and while travel Baker COunty is a member. Oregon Tour and Travel Alliance,

OTTA is a state wide organization of touroperators, attractions, and lodging partners dedicated to prooting group and packaged travel to and within Oregon.  OTTA works closely with Travel Oregon's globals sales team to develop Oregon itineraries for domestic and international tour operators.  THey also host a number of annual trainings for industry partners seeking to engage in the group and packaged travel market and actively cross market member businesses and attractions.

Oregon Destination Marketing Association

ODA is the statewide association for Destination management organizations and is our key partner for legislative advocacy and best practices for tourism  development and management within the state.

Local Business to Business and Community Outreach 

While Travel Baker County and our regional partners focus on bringing more visitors to Baker County, many of our local hospitality and tourism partner businesses also rely on local customers and attendees from through the County and surrounding area.

We encourage our local industry partners to work closely with these local Chambers of Commerce and other business organizations to help with your local promotional efforts.
